Heavy Combination Training

Course Outline
This course is designed to train drivers to a competent standard , which will enable them to pass the relevant VicRoads testing criteria for skill and practical driving in the category of Heavy Combination Truck.
Aust-Link Pty Ltd is accredited to deliver training and Assessment for Victoria (VicRoads).
Aust-Link Pty Ltd is accredited to train on behalf of the NSW Road Traffic Authority but assessments must be conducted in the relevant state.
A Heavy Combination vehicle is described as a prime Mover/Single Semi, or Heavy Rigid plus trailer greater than 8 tonne GVM.
Duration
Lessons run for a one hour duration and can be booked Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm at mutually convenient times.
An assessment runs for one and half hours and can be booked Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 3.30 pm at mutually convenient times.
The trainer can give the participant an estimation of training required after the first lesson.
A VicRoad Bus and Truck Driver knowledge test can be sat at any time.
Trainer/Participation Ratio
1:1 (maximum).
Entry Requirements
Participants must:

Hold a current Victorian Motor Car Licence.

Have held their car licence for a minimum of 24 months, including a MR or HR licence for at least 12 months.

Provide primary and secondary proof of identification prior to course commencement.

Eyesight test conducted by Aust-Link.

Must notify staff of any medical conditions/medication taken.

Be able to drive a car fitted with a manual transmission.
